We have been powering Gujarat's industries for over 50 years. That means we also carry a responsibility — to the environment, to our communities, and to the generations who will inherit the world we leave behind. These are the stories of how Green Electricals is living up to that responsibility.
"Being part of this project was our way of saying — the future of energy is here, and we are ready for it."
Our involvement in India's first 1 MW Canal Top Solar Power Plant — inaugurated by Shri Narendra Modi in April 2012 — placed us squarely at the intersection of electrical expertise and clean energy ambition. Our scope covered the full switchgear supply and commissioning up to 220 kV for a facility that now generates 1.6 million units of clean electricity every year.
This project is our earliest and most visible sustainability milestone. It proved that an electrical distributor from Vadodara could play a meaningful role in India's clean energy future — and set the tone for the sustainable commitments we carry forward today.
Impact:
Every time a customer at Green Electricals chooses an LED luminaire over a conventional fitting, or replaces an old motor with an IE3 energy-efficient alternative, they are saving energy — and we have been part of that decision.
A significant and growing share of our 25,000+ product portfolio is dedicated to energy-efficient solutions. These include LED lighting systems that consume up to 80% less energy than conventional alternatives, high-efficiency electric motors, smart switchgear, and solar-compatible electrical components.
We do not just stock these products — we actively guide our customers towards them. Our sales and technical team are trained to understand customer applications and recommend solutions that reduce long-term energy costs while meeting performance needs.
At the scale of our customer base — across industries, construction projects, and reseller networks — the cumulative energy savings from these everyday product choices are significant.
Energy-Efficient Product Categories We Carry:
Waste in supply chains is a sustainability problem that rarely makes headlines — but it is real, significant, and something every distributor has the power to address.
At Green Electricals, we approach our packaging and dispatch operations with a commitment to reducing waste at every step. Products are packed using the right amount of material for the right level of protection — no excess, no shortcuts. Our cable trays and heavy electrical items are secured to ensure zero damage in transit, which means zero returns, zero re-dispatches, and zero unnecessary carbon miles.
Every order that arrives intact at a customer's site is not just good service — it is also good sustainability practice.
We are continually reviewing our logistics processes to reduce our carbon footprint — from route optimisation to packaging material choices — and will share updates on this journey as we formalise our operational sustainability targets.
When Green Electricals decided to enter manufacturing, we made a simultaneous decision: we would do it responsibly.
Manufacturing carries an environmental footprint that distribution does not — energy consumption, raw material sourcing, process waste, and facility management all come into play. We are approaching each of these with deliberate care.
Our manufacturing sustainability commitments include:We believe that a company entering manufacturing in 2025 has both the opportunity and the obligation to lead by example. This is our pledge.
Green Electricals has been part of Vadodara's fabric for over 50 years. The city has given us our foundation, our customers, our talent, and our identity. Giving back to this community is not a formal obligation — it is something we believe in.
Our community sustainability commitments include:
Our name has always carried a promise. Green Electricals was not named for a colour or a trend — it was built on a vision of growth that is responsible, lasting, and good for everyone it touches
As we enter our next 50 years — with manufacturing, omni-channel expansion, and a growing team — we are formalising our sustainability roadmap. Our focus areas are:
Our community sustainability commitments include:Beyond expectation — in everything we do.
